Richard Jean So (Assistant Professor of English & Cultural Analytics, McGill University) will present a talk entitled « Poetry After Artificial Intelligence« :

This talk explores the impact of artificial intelligence on the writing of poetryand poetics more broadly. It offers a brief introduction to how new computationalmodels are enabling the machine creation of poetry, and it reflects upon whatthis means for human creativity. Also, it explores the impact of new computationalmethods for the study and analysis of poetry, and how this similarly effects ourunderstanding of what poetics and creativity means today.
