Digital Humanities Summer Institute coming to our center!

We are very excited to announce that the Digital Humanities Summer Institute is moving to Montreal and our center as of 2025 for the years to come! More news to come but here is the first announcement:

Even as we start on final preparations for DHSI 2024 — coming up in Victoria in just a few weeks, with almost 650 planning to join us (and registrations still rolling in) — we’re delighted to announce that in 2025 DHSI will move to beautiful Montreal, hosted by the Centre de recherche interuniversitaire sur les humanites numeriques (CRIHN) on the U Montreal campus.

We’ll have much more to say in the coming weeks … but here want to share especially how very grateful we are that the DHSI community has welcomed the Electronic Textual Cultures Lab as its host, how much gratitude we feel to U Victoria, and its Faculty of Humanities and Library, for the 20+ years it has been DHSI’s home base, and to Vancouver Island U for the several years as its home before that.

We’re excited for what the future holds in the good hands of our wonderful friends and new DHSI hosts in Montreal : )

Looking forward to seeing those who can join us this coming June in Victoria, and next 2025 June in Montreal – at the same time, in a new, exciting place!
