Dans la cadre de sa visite au CRIEM pour la Chair Elbira-Zipitria, et avec le soutien de nos membres Cecily Raynor et Pascal Brisette, Dr. Aitor Zuberogoitia Espilla présentera « Digital Humanities for Urban Transformation. Dr. Zuberogoitia’s lecture will first address the origins and evolution of Digital Humanities; this will be followed by some reflections on their potential in urban contexts and living laboratories to address unmet social needs through co-creation processes. Finally, some urban interventions developed at the Bilbao AS Fabrik campus within the Degree in Global Digital Humanities will be described.
Bio: Aitor Zuberogoitia holds a Ph.D. in journalism (EHU-UPV) and is a co-coordinator of the global digital humanities degree and a lecturer in the audio-visual communication degree at Mondragon Unibertsitatea. His main research lines are media ethics, history of media in the Basque language, and creativity and innovation in higher education (PID2019-106367GB-I00). He has participated in research projects funded by Mineco (MediaACES project, CSO2015-66404-P), the Association of Local Media in Basque, the Basque government and the Provincial Government of Gipuzkoa. He is currently part of the FACCTMedia research project.
